About Marisol
I am a licensed esthetician in Los Angeles, and Sunroom Notes is where I write down the honest version of what I say to clients across the treatment table.
I did my training here and have spent the years since working in skincare studios around the city, from the east side to the west. Most of my days are spent with a handpiece and a magnifying lamp, treating the things people come in worried about: sun spots that will not quit, texture, unwanted hair, skin that has spent a little too long in the California light. I love the work. I love it more when clients understand what is actually happening to their skin, because informed people make calmer, better decisions.
That is the whole reason this journal exists. There is a lot of noise online about lasers, and a lot of it is either fear or hype. I wanted a quiet corner to explain the real mechanics in plain language, without a package to sell you at the end of the paragraph.

I write from my own experience treating skin. I am careful about a few things. I do not invent statistics, I do not quote prices that vary from clinic to clinic and month to month, and I will always tell you when something needs a licensed medical provider rather than an esthetician. When I mention a place I think does good work, it is because I would send a friend there.
Good skin decisions come from understanding, not fear. That is the entire mission here.
